About Hamsoo
We are a group of citizens, civil society activists, researchers, and technology professionals whose hearts beat for Iran and its future.
We have come together because we believe that the Iranian people's movement for freedom can succeed, but achieving that goal requires solidarity and cooperation above all else.
With this conviction, we decided to contribute to building mechanisms for communication, coordination, and empowerment among activists and engaged citizens.
Who we are
Our mission is to help Iranians learn about and connect with different movements, civil society initiatives, and pathways toward democratic transition.
As a first step, we have created a map of organizations, groups, and civic and political initiatives working toward a free Iran. This collection brings together a diverse range of independent organizations, coalitions, and projects, each contributing to Iran's future from a different perspective.
Using the information provided about each group, visitors can explore different political visions and identify ways to connect with the organizations that best align with their interests and values.
We seek to build bridges among organizations and groups that, despite political or ideological differences, share a commitment to freedom and the fundamental rights of all citizens.
What we do
Our core principles are rooted in human dignity, the value of life, individual liberty, freedom of expression, the right to protest, equality, and the right of people to determine their own future. At the same time, we deliberately maintain an open and inclusive stance regarding the form of Iran's future political system.
We do not endorse any particular model of governance, political party, or political figure. The future system of government in Iran must be determined by the Iranian people themselves, freely, without coercion, and through broad public participation.
Our role is to support the conditions that make such a choice possible, not to predetermine its outcome.
Our Position
We recognize that the organizations and individuals whose information we collect and publish for public awareness are not merely abstract subjects of research.
They are part of a living history shaped by sacrifice, struggle, and hardship. Many have endured imprisonment, exile, and even the loss of colleagues and loved ones in pursuit of their beliefs.
Guided by the principles of ethical research, we document information carefully and hold ourselves accountable to standards of neutrality, accuracy, and responsibility in both the collection and interpretation of data.
All information is thoroughly reviewed and shared with the organizations themselves whenever possible.
